What Happened to Yummly?

Here is what can be checked today, 21 September 2026, on the official addresses themselves. A request to yummly.com returns a permanent redirect (HTTP 301) to kitchenaid.com/recipes. So do yummly.com/recipes and yummly.com/login. A search of Apple's App Store index for "yummly" in the United States returns nine apps, and none of them is Yummly.

What that means in practice: Yummly's address now leads to KitchenAid's recipe pages, and there is no Yummly sign-in left. If you had recipes saved in a Yummly collection and did not copy them out, yummly.com no longer offers a way to reach them. If you remember a recipe's name, search the web for it: every app below can save a recipe from a web page once you find it again.

We tried to load KitchenAid's recipe pages to see what they offer former Yummly users, but kitchenaid.com refused our request (HTTP 403). So this page says nothing about KitchenAid's own features. Pick a Yummly Alternative by What You Used It For

There is no single Yummly replacement, because people used it for different jobs. If it was where you found and saved recipes, you want an app that clips recipes from any website. If it was where you planned the week, you want a calendar that turns recipes into a shopping list. If it was mostly your grocery list, a list app is enough.

Plan to Eat: If Yummly Was Your Weekly Planner

Plan to Eat is built around three pieces: an online recipe organizer that saves recipes while you browse, a meal planning calendar, and an automated shopping list laid out aisle by aisle. Its homepage says you can start for free with no card details, and that it costs $5.95 a month or $49 a year if you choose to subscribe.

Best fit: you want to drag recipes onto days of the week and get one grocery list out of it, which is the part of Yummly that planners miss most.

Paprika: If Yummly Was Your Recipe Box

Paprika describes itself as an app that helps you organize your recipes, make meal plans and create grocery lists. Its built-in browser saves recipes from anywhere on the web, and its cloud sync keeps recipes, lists and plans the same on all your devices. Its site notes that each version of Paprika is sold separately, so a phone and a laptop mean two purchases.

Best fit: you mostly saved recipes you found elsewhere and want them in one place that no company can switch off with a redirect.

AnyList: If Yummly Was Mostly Your Shopping List

AnyList is a grocery list app with a free plan. Its features page lists AnyList Complete at $9.99 a year for an individual or $14.99 a year for a household, which adds cloud backup and the rest of the paid features on top of the free lists.

Best fit: you used Yummly's shopping list more than its recipes and want a list you can share with the people you shop for.

Why Not Mealime?

Mealime is the next name in many Yummly alternative lists, but Mealime's own closing page says: "Mealime will be discontinued as of October 21, 2026." Some searches for a Yummly alternative are about a thermometer, not recipes. This page does not cover thermometers.
