About BeCute
Health & nutrition, simplified.
Our Mission
We are building BeCute with a single goal: to help people build sustainable, healthy eating habits through technology. Nutrition should not feel overwhelming or out of reach. Our mission is to give everyone the tools they need to understand what they eat, make better choices, and stay consistent - without the guesswork.
Meet the Founder

Founder & CEO at BeCute
Oleksandr Padura is the founder of BeCute. He built BeCute to make personalized nutrition planning accessible to everyone through AI technology.
Our Story
BeCute started with a frustration that many people share. We tried dozens of meal planning and nutrition apps, and every one of them fell short in the same ways. Some were so rigid that a single missed meal threw off the entire plan. Others charged premium prices for basic features that should be accessible to everyone. And most were so complicated that logging a simple lunch felt like filling out a tax form.
We knew there had to be a better way, so we started building BeCute - an app meant to make healthy eating simple, personalized, and accessible to everyone, regardless of budget, dietary preference, or experience level. The work goes into removing the friction that makes people abandon nutrition apps within the first week. That work is not finished, and until it is, BeCute is something we are building rather than something you can get.
What We Are Building
BeCute is the health and nutrition app we are building to fit into an ordinary day. None of it ships today: there is no App Store listing, no Google Play listing, no TestFlight build and no APK to sideload. This is the plan we are working towards, and the early access waitlist is where the first working build goes:
- Personalized meal plans that will be built around your dietary preferences, goals, and lifestyle
- Nutrition tracking that should make logging a meal quick, accurate, and worth the seconds it takes
- Habit building tools meant to help you stay consistent and develop long-term healthy routines
- AI-powered recommendations that will learn from your patterns and suggest meals you actually enjoy
Every line above is a plan, and it is written as one on purpose. When one of these is real, you will read it here in the past tense, and everyone on the list will get an email the same day.
Our Approach
We built BeCute's calorie model on the Mifflin-St Jeor equation: 10 x weight in kg + 6.25 x height in cm - 5 x age, plus 5 for men and minus 161 for women, then multiplied by an activity factor between 1.2 and 1.9. That equation was published by Mifflin, St Jeor and colleagues in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 1990. Protein and fat targets are set per kilogram of body weight and change with your goal; carbohydrates fill the calories that remain. That is the whole basis - a public formula you can look up, not science we invented.
That means no fad diets, no unproven supplements, and no extreme restriction plans that promise fast results but lead to burnout. BeCute is being built around sustainable habits - the kind of gradual, consistent changes that actually stick. We believe that long-term health is built on balanced nutrition, not deprivation, and every feature we design is measured against that.
Our Technology
The plan is for BeCute to use artificial intelligence to take the tedious parts out of nutrition tracking and meal planning. The app is being built to pick up your preferences over time - the foods you enjoy, the meals that fit your schedule, the ingredients you tend to avoid - and to move its recommendations towards them. None of that is running on anyone's phone right now, because there is no phone build yet.
Three of those AI features are what the work is aimed at: scanning the barcode on a packaged food instead of typing it in, reading a photo of a plate to estimate the portion, and turning a week of planned meals into one grocery list. We describe them here so that you know what an early access invite is supposed to contain - not because there is anything to open today.
Who Builds BeCute
BeCute is built by Oleksandr Padura and a small engineering team. We are software people, not clinicians: there is no nutritionist on staff and no medical review board. That is exactly why the calorie model is a published equation you can check instead of a proprietary algorithm. BeCute is not medical advice - if a health condition affects what you eat, talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
Our Commitment to Privacy
Health data is deeply personal, and we treat it that way. BeCute is designed with privacy as a foundational principle, not an afterthought. Nutritional data, health metrics and personal information will be encrypted in transit and at rest - and to be exact about today, we hold none of that yet: the only thing on our side right now is the email address you leave for early access. We never sell your data to third parties, and we never will.
You remain in full control of your information at all times. We collect only the data necessary to provide and improve the service, and we are transparent about how that data is used. For full details, read our privacy policy.
Our Values
- Accessibility. Healthy eating should not be expensive or complicated. We design BeCute so that anyone can use it, regardless of their background, budget, or nutritional knowledge. Good nutrition guidance should be available to everyone.
- Science-first. Every recommendation the app makes will be backed by published research and established dietary science - the calorie model above is the first example and the standard for the rest. We do not promote trends or unverified claims. If the evidence changes, our guidance changes with it.
- Personalization. No two people eat the same way. Your body, your goals, your preferences, and your lifestyle are unique - and your meal plan should reflect that. BeCute is being built to adapt to you, not the other way around.
- Sustainability. We prioritize long-term habits over quick fixes. Crash diets and extreme restrictions may produce short-term results, but they rarely last. BeCute is being built to help you develop a relationship with food that you can maintain for years, not just weeks.
Why BeCute
BeCute is not a medical service or a replacement for professional healthcare advice. It is a tool being built to make healthy eating easier and more accessible for everyone. We believe that small, consistent changes lead to lasting results, and that belief is what the app is being written around.
No rigid diets. No unrealistic expectations. And no pretending the thing is ready before it is: when it opens, the people on the early access waitlist hear about it first.
